Data analytics and AI for insurers and insurance brokers
In short
Exponent analyses policy, premium and claims data from insurers and insurance brokers to measure the real profitability of their portfolio, anticipate lapses and apply artificial intelligence to tasks such as reading documents or customer service. Every project ends in production, with the team trained.
What problems does it solve?
- Not knowing which products, lines, insurers or clients make money and which ones cost it.
- Cancellations spotted when it is already too late to act.
- Hours lost reading policies, claim forms and documents by hand.
- Reports that arrive late and do not help decisions.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need clean data to get started?
No. Part of the work is gathering and cleaning the data you already have in your management system, at your insurers and in spreadsheets. The initial assessment shows what can be done with it and what is missing.
What data is needed to measure portfolio profitability?
At a minimum, policies, premiums and commissions by insurer and line, cancellations and, where available, claims. With that we calculate the margin by product, client and insurer.
Will AI replace the team?
That is not the goal. AI is used to remove repetitive work, such as reading documents or drafting answers, while decisions stay with people.
How is client data protected?
We work under GDPR data processing agreements, with restricted access and, whenever possible, pseudonymised data.
