Regulatory compliance for insurance brokers and financial institutions

In short

Exponent helps insurance brokers, agencies and financial institutions meet their regulatory duties: it provides its own whistleblowing channel under Spanish Law 2/2023, brings companies into line with the GDPR, implements anti-money laundering procedures and certifies integrated management systems.

What problems does it solve?

  • New obligations every year and little time to review them.
  • Risk of fines for not having a whistleblowing channel or not running it properly.
  • Data protection documents that are out of date.
  • Anti-money laundering procedures that only exist on paper.

Frequently asked questions

Does my brokerage need a whistleblowing channel?

Very likely, yes. Spanish Law 2/2023 applies to companies with 50 or more employees and, regardless of size, to those subject to EU financial services rules, which include insurance distribution.

Can an external firm run the channel?

Yes. The law allows a third party to manage the channel as long as it guarantees independence, confidentiality and data protection. The company remains responsible.

Do you offer compliance training?

Yes, for management and teams, tailored to each obligation.
